First one to come to my mind is :
Mount Woodson
It’s found in the City of Poway California the terrain on this particular trail is moderate to strenuous hike. Dogs are allowed and it’s about 7.5 miles round trip form beginning to end. The trails are well maintained, and the views once up in the top are breathtaking. This place has a very famous landmark called the Potato Chip Rock, this spot has become a very popular place to take pictures, at times can be a bit crowded, there is no specific days that will have less people than others, so if you have a chance to get all the way to the Potato Rock and is easy to take your picture do so but is for any reason you could not then the views and area alone are fantastic and beautiful!

Best Season to Hick it: Spring, Fall and Winter
Time: 3 hrs
Elevation Gain: 2000 ft
Territory has several Boulders

From San Diego, take the I-15 north and exit at Twin Peaks Road, turning right. Follow Twin Peaks to Espola Road and make a left. Just past Poway High School, make a right into the Lake Poway parking lot and concession area. Park near the concession stand after paying the fee. From North County and beyond, take the I-15 south and exit at Rancho Bernardo Rd, turning left off of the freeway. Rancho Bernardo becomes Espola Road, which will bend to the right. Just past Blue Sky Ecological Reserve, take the left turn into the Lake Poway parking lot and concession area. Park near the concession stand after paying the fee .

The trail condition is always well maintained and Dog friendly! your dog will love the trail and the views are amazing. So what are you waiting for ? Take a shot and come and see the potato chip rock.
Then the next one is:
Cowles Mountain
This trail is moderate and has fantastic views of San Diego, this trail is located in San Diego close to Santee & La Mesa, what you see is beautiful from the north, east and south. This trail is know to be very crowded the majority of the time but the hike is an easy one. On a very clear day you can see views of Mexico and Downtown San Diego , the trail is about 4 miles it can take you around 3 hours to hike it.

From Downtown: Take I-8 East to Highway 125 North. Exit at Mission Gorge Road, and turn left. Turn left onto Big Rock Road and follow it to the end of the road for the trailhead. From Julian, head south on Highway 79, past the lake and into Paso Picacho Campground. Walk through the campground to the cabins in the back. Find the trailhead there.
